NERO® Military Club© NERO® Military Club© Constitution (Version 02) Prelude The NERO Military Club © program was created to provide military personnel the opportunity to enjoy themselves while stationed at any one of the military bases around the world. This program is being worked on by the NERO Office and the NERO Military Club and should have it completely ironed out within several months.. See Pictures Here.
Terms and Definitions
NERO Club Meeting: An official meeting of NERO Club Members (College or Military) where the topic is out of game planning for the club.
NERO Event: Any of the services that NERO provides, including Role-play sessions, Adventure Modules, Faire Days, Weekend Events, Member Sponsored Events, and Dinner Party’s.
Pay As You Go: When NERO Members pay as they attend events rather than choosing one of the member programs.
Blanket: This term means ‘experience equal to your total character build’.
Maximum Training: This means that players may turn in Silver Coin to maximize their characters training, thereby earning more experience. In all cases, Maximum Training is equal to the standard experience for attending the specific NERO Event in accordance to NERO Policy and the current edition of the NERO Rule Book© if applicable.
Full Year Payment: When NERO Members pay a full year Member Dues in advance.
Member Dues: The amount members pay each month to be part of a Membership Program.
Membership Program: This includes any of the NERO programs available including Copper, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Titanium, and Adamantine Memberships, NERO College Clubs, and NERO Military Clubs.

Monthly Club Meet Minutes: The Minutes taken at the Monthly Military Club Meeting and submitted, with the names of the attendees, to the NERO Office
NERO Military Club Membership Program Costs
NERO Membership Cards · The NERO Office will create a Membership Card for each NERO Member or, optionally, the NERO Military Club can create the Membership Cards and distribute them. The NMC can acquire the necessary laminator and materials or the NERO Office will send the equipment upon request.
NERO Insurance · NERO Military Club Members are fully covered at all NERO Events held in America.
Discounted Events for Military Personnel and NMC Members · Within the NMC, all MSE and NERO Events held beyond the monthly NMC requirement are $5.00 for NMC members. · Civilian contractors maintain the benefits the same as Military Personnel.. · In America, many NERO chapters offer strong discounts for Military Personnel that range from being in the reserves to returning from active duty. Minimum Military Club Meet Requirements · The Club will meet at least once each month to discuss club related topics including when NERO Events are scheduled. . If a NERO Club Meet is not hosted by the NMC in any given month, an explanation must be provided to the NERO Office in lieu of the Monthly Club Meet Minutes.
Club Meet Tracking and Reporting Requirements · Meeting Minutes are to be taken during all Club Meets. The NMC Meet Minutes are to be sent to the NERO Office within 5 business days. The minutes are reviewed by the NERO International Military Club Coordinator (NIMCC) (to be named soon). Questions, requests, and action items will be responded too within 5 business days. · Note: With a full time employee to manage this aspect of our business, among other things, we are trying to implement 5 day response time.
Minimum NERO Event Requirements · The Club will host at least one NERO Event per month. If a NERO Event is not hosted by the NMC in any given month, an explanation must be provided to the NERO Office.
Costuming, Make-up, Foam Weaponry Requirements · Make-up: Not required but preferred. · Costuming: Not required but preferred. · Foam Weaponry: Not required.
Member and Character Tracking · The NERO Office will assign an ID and PWD to the NERO Online Member and Character tracking database – www.nerodb.net – to track NMC members and characters. Optionally, the NMC may choose to matrix with a NERO Online Administrator to manage member and character updates. If an NOA is used, the Online Member and Character forms can be used from the nerolarp.com site or an email can be sent to the assigned NOA at the preference of the NMC.
Character Experience Awards · Members may gather together at any time for role-play oriented events without being awarded experience. However, experience will be awarded if the event operated by an authorized entity and Member Dues are submitted. · Game Experience can only be awarded to those individuals who are NERO Members and who either NPC or submit the required payment for PC’ing. o Club Member Award: 1 Blanket of Experience Each Month o Member Sponsored Events: As Attended (with payment) o Dinner Party: As Attended (with payment) · Maximum Training is permitted.
Club Materials and Resources · The NERO Office will supply the NMC with resources including but not limited to NERO Rule Books, Silver and Gold Coin, File-maker Pro program disk and associated Databases for Tag Creation and Tracking. · The NERO Office will also supply Make-Up and Magic Item Physical representations, and/or Tag Paper if requested by the NMC. · The NMC may request additional or special resources at any time for approval by the NERO Office.
Non-Player Characters · NPC’s may be used, and experience awarded equal to NERO Event attendees (PC’s), provided that the NPC is a NERO Member.
Backdating Character Experience for New Members · Character Experience may be awarded to new members, for attendance at NMC NERO Events attended prior to becoming an official NERO Member (The Trial Period), upon official member status.
Goblin Points · Goblin points may be awarded for donations and NPC duties. The standard award amount is located at http://www.avendale.com/Business/DonationAwards.htm
In-Game Storyline Concept · Several NPC Lead-in Characters will be generated by the NERO Office for use by the NMC. The NPC Lead-in Characters can be used by the Plot Coordinators as the leaders of the lands that ‘hook’ players on adventures, issue laws and edicts, alert adventurers to possible monsters in the area, sponsor combat, spell casting, and/or rogue tournaments and anything else that the plot coordinator can think of to enhance the background atmosphere. · NMC’s may utilize any of the written materials on the NeroLarp.com site as backdrop for adventures, provided that the lands are not of an existing NERO Chapter are instead managed by NERO Office personnel. These lands include the Continents including Jhivantane, Amys, and Zephyr, and local Avalon lands such as Quentari, Rotaria, The Duchy of Evendarr, The City of Evendarr, Draelonde, and other lands. Visit this location for information and ideas. http://www.nerolarp.com/InGame/MalcolmsGuide.htm · The NERO Office uses several in-game concepts to support NMC’s including ‘Existing Barony’, ‘Roving Band’, and ‘Frontier Expansion’. o The Existing Barony concept allows the NERO Office to provide an in-game foundation for the NMC’s to use that is separated but incorporated into the existing in-game Avalon Continent and world structure. o The Roving Band concept concentrates on the movement of adventurers throughout in-game lands owned and managed by the NERO Office and its personnel. It supports the “come and go” aspect associated with training, exercises, and deployments while still offering a very solid storyline to keep everyone involved. o The Frontier expansion places a focus on the conquering uninhabited lands on the edge of civilization.

NERO Military LARP Event This concept includes scheduling a LARP Event made especially for military personnel – almost like a reunion of sorts, or a NERO Olympics – once per year. The NERO Office is considering an Event toward the end of 2006. This is in the development phase. |
